I have been very impressed with my Burris Fastfire III 3 moa dot.
It has been mounted to a revolver, my Henry .22, and it will be on the Marlin 336 next deer season. It is a versatile little optic, it has a place on just about any firearm that isn't a long range bolt action.
It can withstand 1000 G's of recoil so it has no problems riding on a slide with the appropriate mount.
Nothing but great things to say about it.
