i own both but carry neither. i carry .45

i find the recoil, particularly the short snappy recoil in subcompact .40s, to be an annoyance. its a hard snap back of the wrist. meanwhile i can shoot a .45 sub the same size and the pushy recoil of a .45 is hardly felt.
