Unpleasant guns
The only gun/cartridge combo that I have found unpleasant enough to avoid is the 500 S&W shooting 600 -700 grain bullets from my T/C Encore pistol.
I assembled that combo in order to test handloads.
Shooting it hurt from shot one.
I have heavy rifles - a .416 Rigby, a .375 H&H, a Handi-Rifle for hot .45-70s. A box or so of cartridges from each is normal.....but not that 500 Encore pistol.
