When I was a teenager we had a neighbor who owned a gasoline station and I remember him talking to my Dad about the fact that when he received a new tanker of gasoline he would take the wholesale cost per gallon and mark it up 15%. The retail price would stay the same until his station became low and he ordered another semi load of gasoline. In other words, his retail price stayed the same until his next batch of gasoline arrived. Notice in the last 15 years how the price of gasoline at your local stations fluctuates on a weekly or even daily basis though the station is selling the same tanker load they received weeks back? What I am getting at is that we pay inflated retail prices all the time that in no way reflect the wholesale cost. So why are folks getting upset now about prices and availability of guns, ammo and accessories when they have had years to prepare?
