I started with a .45 Ruger Blackhawk,7 1/2" barrel 40 years ago when I got back from overseas and cut the barrel to 6" and have been carrying it ever since.I don't shoot it very much (all cast bullets) 900 FPS,and have killed a bear,two Elk ,several deer,and a lot of "breakfast bunnies".I like it better'n beer.Sure I have other handguns but a guy"s got to have a favorite...
