I set up a scope(sweet 22) with load specific turrets and found them to be really nice and worth the work. the good news is if you screw something up, you can fix it AND you'll know more about the process after the fact.
I say do it.
I am just waiting to get away and work on a couple of new scope/rifle combos myself. A shooting sled/lead sled would truly be helpful in anything you do.
