I believe that was left up in the air and to the imagination.

That was an incredibly dumb movie.
I agree. It was unrealistic and simply and strictly fear/scare driven.

He did have a rifle after the crash, but its stock was broken. So what? What ever happened to improvising? Oh, wait, that wouldnt pump up the volume with the fear thing, now would it?
