I've never thought of it as stashing. If I take a brick to the field to shoot and still have a few 100 left, I may or may not remove them from the vehicle when I get home. I had too much ammo at home, so I put a few boxes at the shop. I honestly couldn't think to myself though " I'll run 'here' and there'll be 22's there when I get there." It might be shotgun shells instead.

My ammo just happens to be where I left it so to speak.
