I would suggest that the TX law is not as simple as stated.

The TSRA has an excellent article this month in their journal.

I strongly suggest people read the law as here is part:
A) unlawfully and with force entered, or was attempting to enter unlawfully and with force, the actor’s occupied habitation, vehicle, or place of business or employment
