I keep a Stoeger Cougar (because it feels and works like my 92FS but is smaller) in the drawer safe next to me. Two 15rd magazines loaded with 124gr FP's and an extra box of ammo in the safe next to the gun and magazines (I figure 80 rds ought to do it
). Flashlights handy (all over the place, I kind of collect them, gotta be 4 in my nightstand alone), a maglight (doubles as a club), extra batteries, a cell phone, and a few pocket knifes handy as well. The wife keeps a bat under her side of the bed, the house has an alarm system and security cameras, and the number one line of defense is a large dog. I expect to never need the Cougar.
