While this may be true in some instances, in my experience simunitions are used at places with larger training budgets and airsoft is used at places with smaller training budgets.
Right, from what I can determine you rarely hear about elite warriors (the higher levels of training) using airsoft as a training tool and you rarely see citizen self-defense classes using simunitions. At the higher levels, there's typically a lot more funding available and more justification to use more realistic (and more expensive) simulation equipment. Not so much at the level of a typical 3 or 4 day civilian class--even those that are billed as "advanced".
