I would not worry about shooting .308 Win factory loads in a 7.62 NATO '98 Mauser, the cheapo Chilean '95 conversion does not apply.
If you took up handloading, some care would be required to handle the roomy military chamber.

I don't know how well that steel cased Russian ammo will work for you, best not to buy a whole lot to start with.
