I strut changes accuracy by add ridgity to the barrel, but yet will also change harmonics, greatly effecting cold bore shot. If you want consistant accuracy over the broad range of shooting, go with strut. If you are more concerned about accuracy on cold bore, do away with it. This is an assault weapon not intended for high accuracy shooting. It's designed to be efficent enough to hit a man in the chest at a 300 yard distance. It will do that even when it is hot. I do however, like your design, and it does appear efficent and would help with the ridgity of the barrel.
I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough. Without ever having felt sorry for itself. -- D.H. Lawrence
