Mich. seems to be big into CMP Games, (meaning Vintage rifle shooting). To go along with the competition they have clinics to get new shooters started.
By Vintage rilfe I mean surplus military rifles, Garand, Carbines, Springfields, and other Vintage Military rifles. They are also big in Small Bore Sporter shooting.
These matches are probably the cheapest way to get involved in shooting sports. Not to mention a lot of fun.
