The cylinder gap determines how far the wedge goes. A new gun the wedge will just be a tiny tad past flush on the off side. An older gun with a lot of use on it may need to go in further. Those are nice looking guns but that gold will wear off pretty quick with holster carry. Those aren't stainless either just polished steel. Here's mine. I prefer it over my Remingtons.
