Most of the rifles that I shoot with bottlenecked cases are rather old so I use low powered loads. I find that for most half the cases have split at the neck after 15 reloads.
For the newer stuff with hotter loads and straight walled cases I've yet to loose any significant number. I reloaded my 45-90 brass, for example, 35 times with no significant losses. A friend claims he loaded his 45-70 brass 65 times without significant losses.
Same goes for straight walled pistol cases. Since I've got a lot more pistol brass the number of reloads per case is less, probably between 12 to 15 times, but once again there have been no significant losses.
