Thompson made a .22 version of the famous 45acp "Tommy Gun". Believe it is extremely rare. There is an Austrian model 180 that has a horizontal drum on top. This was used in some American prisons for the guards. There are quite a few of these in civilan hands in the US. Russia had a .22 version called the "Blyum", similar to the PPSh-41. The Russian designer made several .22 submachine guns. Many .22 kit adapters have been made for full auto guns. The M16, H&K G3, MAC 10 and MAC 11 for example. I have a proto-type .22kit for my Chi-Com full auto AK-47. Full Auto .22 is really fun, especially good for youngsters to get into the full auto scene.
