I've been away from TFL for quite some time and haven't talked to ya'll since we initially thunk up the idea. How about late January or February?

...on whether I'll have enough money to buy a bolt-action by then. :(

Can I leave the FAL magazines at home and pretend it's a single-shot? :p

January 14th is a Monday? I'm actually around on weekdays since I'm presently self employed YAAHHHHHOOOO!!!!! I think W&W is only open wed-Sunday though. And I'm not sure if any of those Pesky Cowboy Action shooters are going to be around.

You don't have to have one to come. I'll have the First Gun I ever owned Marlin 22Mag with me and my Model 70 30/06. I have a ton of 30/06 reloads I want to get rid of. I have 110gr, 180gr, 200gr and all kinds of 150gr. I want to shoot it all up so I can just stick with my Favorite 150gr loads. I think I have about 400rds I want to get rid of and there ain't no way I'll be able to shoot that much '06 in one day alone.

Yer right! the 14th is a Monday. I meant the 13th! Was looking at the wrong month :D. We should make it the next weekend as that monday is a national holiday.

I'll get this right yet:o

As long as it is during the weekend, I am good to go.

Bolt Action and Lever guns only huh??? :)

Anyone down for some 8mm pain???

Jamie Young
December 21, 2001, 09:57 AM
I have to figure out what my Schedule is gonna be and then check the place out for any other events.

December 21, 2001, 04:02 PM
Oh Yeah... Does a rotary bolt count as a bolt action??? ;)

Jamie Young
December 22, 2001, 03:17 PM
If not enough of you guys want to keep it to that we can change it but I'd like to spend some time with my '06 this time (you all know how much time I spend with my guns at these shoots). If we do change it lets stick to Rifles only. Or pick two Calibers and everyone has to bring a rifle in that caliber?

K80Geoff
December 22, 2001, 03:28 PM
I only have one gun that qualifies:(

Guess I will have to spend some quality time with it:D

How about some .22 action. I have a new rem 597 that needs exercise.

Jamie Young
December 22, 2001, 03:37 PM
Is that a rifle?

Dead
December 22, 2001, 04:08 PM
Oh oh oh!!! Do I get to pick the calibers that we all need to bring??

Jamie Young
December 22, 2001, 05:03 PM
You get to bring a Pellet gun:p

K80Geoff
December 23, 2001, 01:10 AM
Well...if they make a AK pellet gun, Dead probably has one:D

Jamie Young
December 23, 2001, 02:03 AM
Dead- How many guys are in your home?

Why don't you just bring all your guns and Geoff and I will just shoot them for you.

Dead
December 23, 2001, 12:27 PM
Ok,

I will bring a pellet gun. I do have atleast one of those somewhere. :p

I dont have an AK pellet gun, I guess that I something I need to get next though huh?? ;)

I wouldnt mind if we did Sporting Clay... I have seemed to gotten addicted to it alittle bit. :D

Soda,

YOu should be asking how many guns I have in OTHER peoples homes LOL. I think it is more than I have where I live.

Jamie Young
December 23, 2001, 03:53 PM
Well leave some here with me sometime. Like your SARII and one of your AR's. What kind of AR's do you have again? I checked out a whole bunch of them today at the Valley Forget Gunshow but I'm totally lost on what Companies or Variant to look for.

K80Geoff what Model is yours? They all look the same to me and when I asked the guys at the show what the Bushmaster Standard 20in they said that didn't narrow it down enough:rolleyes:

I've got an old Marlin 780 .22 bolt action. That's about it.
How 'bout a "handgun caliber" shoot? I'll bring my Camp-9. Anybody have a Tommy gun? I'll bring extra 45 ACP!
I STILL need to pattern my 870's too. There must be someplace where I can spend some time patterning with 00, 000 & #4 buck plus my "multi purpose" Federal clay-killers. Anyone?
Mike

Alright
Its starting to sound like people aren't into a Bolt Action shoot. Well you missed the Pistol Shoot in NJ a few weeks ago 9mmMike. I don't want to mix up the Pistol and Rifle shooting too much because every gets too spread out.

And K80Geoff won't be able to make up his mind on what guns to bring. The other problem is the days are much shorter now and I think they close the range at 4pm. We never have enough time anyway and the point of these TFL shoots is to hangout and shoot with your fellow TFL members. After we settle on what were doing I'll start a new thread and pick a date.

Actually I just scoped my 780 and I would love to shoot further than the 25yd indoor range at Target World. I just don't have my 336 yet so no lever action for me. I have a buddy with one though. Maybe I could bring him along....

My AR is a bushmaster 20" Target Model XM15E2S. It is the basic Bushmaster. I prefer the standard barrel length and regular stock. Hate not having a birdcage on the muzzle:mad:

Looks like I will have a Winchester 1892 replica in 45LC.should be fun to shoot.

Lets keep this one rifles and shotguns only. too bzd we can't set up a lane to shoot buckshot.

This time I WILL remember to bring my roll of paper:o

What date will we shoot ?

K80Geoff
December 24, 2001, 01:49 AM
And yes the Remingron 597 is a rifle, albeit only .22LR. I did put a cheap scope on it and it is accurate.

How about a .22 shoot:D

Everybody has a .22.

Jamie Young
December 24, 2001, 03:32 AM
LOL Whatever that is:o

I have to call up at W&W to see whats open and I have to see what family stuff I have going on. Give me about a week and I'll post some suggestions. I think I'm going to stick with my 22magnum and my Model 70 for the shoot.

K80,

Yeah everyone has atleast one 22RimFire rifle. :D They are just too much fun.

Bringing the roll-o-paper huh K80Geoff?? Looks like I will have to bring the shotgun to pattern that thing :)

I'M UP FOR THAT! K80Geoff, SodaPop, lets do a .22 rifle shoot. Bolt, semi, lever, whatever you got in .22 that's a rifle. That would keep us all together and we could shoot forever! I have some scopes that I need to sight in with on different rifles. Are we good to go with that? Good Idea K80Geoff... ;)

Mrs. Woody6
December 24, 2001, 10:33 AM
I would love to come and shoot. This is Ray's wife and as it stands now we are available on one of these three days in the afternoon: January 20th, 26th or 27th.

Jamie Young
December 24, 2001, 02:24 PM
Anyone that doesn't bring 22lr ammo or a 22 caliber gun can't come. Unless you bring a signed not from your Mother excusing you. I'm still bringing my Model 70. I'm going to sit right between all of you guys (AND MRS.WOODY) and send 150gr of 7.62mm out of the barrel at 3000fps to break your concentration.

K80Geoff
December 24, 2001, 11:13 PM
To all the PA TFL shooters.

To all those of you who never show up:

"BAH HUMBUG":D :D :D :p

Jamie Young
December 25, 2001, 02:05 AM

Merry Christmas ;)

"...Unless you are the grinch that stole my christmas present when I was alittle kid.."

AhHa! Now we know where that AK pellet gun went!:D

Jamie Young
December 25, 2001, 10:09 AM
The ATF that stole it from under your Christmas Tree.

Attn: David Park

You can get an 1891 Mosin-Nagant military rifle for well under $100. I have also seen Turkish Mausers on sale for $50 at Big-5 Sporting Goods.

Military ammunition is cheap and plentifull for both rifles.

January 13th or the 20th are the two dates I'm thinking of. I'll try and call or drive up this sunday. I want to shoot some 9mm and 7.62x39 up.

Salt, thanks for the tip. My problem is not so much lack of money as lack of income, so I'm trying to avoid spending any money on firearms right now, especially new guns (since they always require ammo and accessories). :( Hopefully I'll hear about a possible job this coming week.

Soda, I don't own anything in .22LR. I know, I'm so ashamed. I could probably procure some ammo, though.

K80Geoff, I do own a shotgun. :) I've been wanting to pattern both the 28" and 18.5" barrels.

The 20th is the Cowboy action stuff. I made her reserve tables for the 27th. I'll start a new thread!!!!!!!!!!!!
