I'm moving to Texas next May, into the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. Can anyone give me an idea of the best places to shoot? I prefer outdoor rifle ranges, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

There are a couple of decent outdoor ranges along US 380 from Mckinney to Denton, and other indoor ranges scatteded about. Where in the D/FW area will you be living?

Not sure as to where we'll be landing, my job is pretty much a given, but the wife's not sure where she'll be. Been looking at the GunBarrel City area as well as the Denton and Plano area. Ideally I would like to find a couple of hundred acres, then the whole finding a range would take care of itself.
