Received a shotgun from one of our patrol deputies for repair. Seems that it was not cocking when the action was cycled.
Broke the 'gun down and everything inside looked fine. The hammer would cock manually when I pushed it back with my finger.
By now, I was scratching my head.
Picked the forearm up and noticed that the action bars were sliding back & forth. Finally, I checked the nut on the end of the forearm and found that it almost completely backed off.
After I tightened the nut, the 'gun functioned fine.
Just an FYI and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
