Need some help folks, A guy I work with is looking at a Stoeger shotgun.
Are they any good and who makes them? Are they imports?
We seem not to be able to find any info.
We found their web page but it doesn't shed any light
Thanks in advance LnL :)

Stoeger is an importer, not a maker. Their shotguns range from pretty good to junk. One trap shooter I know bought a "Coach" gun. Patterning showed one bbl was way off POA. He sent it in, they replaced it. Same prob with the replacement. Haven't talked to him lately, so I dunno how it turned out.

I had a Stoeger coach for a couple years about 10 years ago. It was made by IGA in Brazil. It never gave me any problems---even though the fit and finish were pretty rough.
I just bought a Baikal SxS a month or so ago------and I looked over the new Stoegers. For pretty much the same money---the Stoegers don't even come close to the Baikals as far as workmanship and fit and finish.
