Academy -- Shells for $1.99

Went in to get a case of the Remington Shurshot Heavy Dove for $2.99 a box ($29.90 a case), and they also had Federal shells for $1.99 a box. These are the "Field and Range" shells.

I got a case of 7 1/2 shot, 1 oz., 3 1/4 dram. I saw 6's and 8's too, I believe. 2 case limit per person per visit.

You can't hardly reload for $2 a box, and it's a good way of getting some shells for the clays range.

Don't know if other Academy stores are running the special, but you might check it out.

I sure wish Academy had stores in Md. One caveat on those Fed shells....

Many ranges limit the ammo to 3 dram. Check before use.

Wal Mart will match the price of Academy 9mm ammo ($3.98 for a 50-round box). They may do the same for shot shells. Just take a flyer to prove the price.
