Dry firing S&W 638

Will it harm a S&W model 638, with the internal firing pin, to dry fire it ?

Mr. G, I've never heard of one breaking due to this. I wouldn't expect it to hurt it at all. But it probably wouldn't hurt to use a snap cap of some sort. George
