Could one of you graphic gurus change the background of the following image from white to transparent and send to me by attachment here or email?

Rich, I will never lay claim to being a guru, but see if this attachment works.

Rich,

That should work for you. If you want it sent by e-mail, I can do that too. I edited the graphic for you online at...

Ah. A nanosecond too late. ;)

I like that attachment feature. Rich, is that going to eat up server space?

LOL Yea, Jeff, you have to get up pretty early in the morning to beat this Texan to the draw... :)

Thanks, both of you.
I put Joe's up. Works great....was drivin' me nuts the other way.

Jeff-
The attachment feature limits attachments in size. If everyone acts responsibly, it shouldn't be any problem.

Now...
Either of you guys feel like changing the colors of all the top buttons and icons at the bottom of the posts to the blue used in the Staff Use button....you can take days for that one.

Rich,

I have just about exhausted my graphic editing capabilities on that one graphic. This sounds like a job for Super Jeff! :)

Joe

BTW: I think the colors of the existing buttons look fine...

Rich, that's Joe's way of saying he looked at the graphics, and realized it will take a good deal of time to make them look similar. ;)

I'm a hacker when it comes to PaintShop Pro. Never read the book ... just play with it. I'll see what I can do. It will be a learning experience.

Stand By, Jeff.
I've got most of 'em. I thought the styles had changed...I was incorrect.

I was half right. I need the purple buttons (User CP on top and all others in posts) changed to blue. Unless you're famailiar, don't go nuts. We'll have Shaun, Son or Oleg do it....they just don't know it yet! ;)

Did you want to keep the little pictures on the buttons and just change the back to blue or do you want them to look like the rest of the buttons?

Rich Lucibella

Shaun-
Good morning! Long night, huh? I like the little icons in the buttons....just wanna get the rest of it blue. L'il hammer icon on the Staff Use button would be nice, but I don't want to push my luck.

Aside to Jeff: See, I told ya! :D

I tried. I don't know Paint Shop Pro as well as I thought. :( Sorry.

Very long night :) I'll look at the buttons and see what I can do.

I tried to work on one of the buttons too. The online Gif Works program that I use won't work for what you want because the background color on the buttons is not "one" color. It is varying shades of blue/purple so it is hard to simply replace one color with another...

How does this look:

I can do others tomorrow, if needed.

Shaun-
Wow! Thanks. Looks great and you even gave me the hammer!

Dave-
I put your Post Reply up. I think it washes out a bit, being on a blue background. I think we need to come up with better "New Thread" and "Post Reply" designs or colors.

Here's another option.

The red matches the banner.

http://home.ptd.net/~nitto/reply.gif

On the other hand, it stands out too much with the rest of the blue. Think of some color schemes and I'd be glad to help too.

Dave, ArmySon,

I like both of your buttons. You guys could even go a step further though if you wanted to and change the black background to transparent like Jeff and I did those little red taget icons. Rich is too nice of a guy to mention it, but I'm not... hee hee :)

...and I wasn't just using it as an excuse earlier, I really did like the "gun-metal" blue of the original buttons. Using AOL (which is a form of IE) the buttons were not purple, but blue...

Son-
For the "Post New Topic" button, I think the color styles used in the other buttons would work...needs to be tried.

For the "Reply Button", which is on the blue background, how about we reverse the colors:
#F7F7F7 is the off-white used in the tables. Use that as the background
Use the background blue from the other buttons for type.

Just saw this thread. Looks like I missed out on a chance to be useful. Does someone have this covered or should I do these?

Oleg-
Back to the dungeons. This is covered, thanks. You have other fish to fry.

Rich,
Here's the matching "user cp" button: http://www.bright.net/~jcmdjm/top_profile.gif

The others, like you said, may need to be redesigned. I'm pretty good at changing existing designs, but designing from scratch isn't my strong suit.

Here's two of the main buttons, the reply is changed to match the new thread button, but still may not show up against the darker blue bar. I think the black border helps it to show up until we get a new design.

One idea I had was to recolor the old topic and reply buttons. Do you have a link to them for me to have something to start with?

Will continue working on other, smaller buttons.
