I heard about a company called "FN" that used to only make "specialty handguns" for SWAT teams, etc., but will now introduce a new "duty" handgun in 9mm and/or .40 S&W.
Does any TFL member have more details on this possible new duty handgun made by "FN"?
Thanks for your opinions.

I wouldn't support any company that doesn't provide for all citizens.

You're talking about the Fabrique Nationale Forty-Nine. Its FN's new duty sized pistol offering. It comes in either .40 or 9mm hence the name of the pistol. The Forty-Nine has a polymer frame. It has a double-action only type trigger and no manual safety. Don't think its like the Glock mechanism because its not, its true DAO so the trigger pull is pretty darn heavy. What's funny is that the pistol is made in South Carolina and not even in Belgium...

PS I don't think sales are for LEOs only

8 - 10 pound trigger pull? They can keep it. ;)

I saw one at a gun store for sale. It had a good feel and the trigger pull was not as bad as it sounds. It was much lighter than my P-220 and just as smoothe. I remember the price being around $500.
