My father in law has recently found a mossberg 42m(c). I was looking for any good websites or information anyone can offer. An instruction manual or owners manual would be nice to read too. Lastly it does not have a magazine and was looking for a place to get one.

thanks for any info

The Model 42 was O.F.Mossberg's first bolt action .22 with clip magazine. It was originally introduced in 1935. The Model 42 was made in quite a few variants.
The 42MB was one of the major training rifles of the WWII era, though not all are marked correctly or serial numbered.
The Targo variants used a smoothbore barrel and fired shot cartridges and had a Targo (small clay bird) thrower attached to the barrel.
