I don't want a gun safe. However, I do want a safe place to keep my firearms. Nothing too fancy... not too expensive. I don't want to say that I have already made up my mind but I am particularly thinking of the TGS storage lockers. The nice thing is that they do not require proprietary accessories when attaching it to the wall (IE. extra bins). I suppose that I am looking to see if anyone else has used this and liked it or not. When it comes to spending that level of $dinero$, I'd rather learn from some other persons experience. The link is below. I'd appreciate any and all input. Thank you.

Personally I prefer a safe because of theft resistance, fire protection and water damage protection.
The ones in the link seem to me to be more what you would find in a locked weapons room at an armory or police station, but not in a home environment.

I love those locks. No batteries and easy to open quickly. If you're not looking for a safe then I'd say this is the next best thing to keep guns out of curious hands.

I think I'm moving my "pistol locker" into my walk in gun safe room... before I built that, I mounted a 4' heavy steel truck tool box onto the wall in the basement, to lock up my handguns...

got mine from Northern Tool...

this is what I used...
