View Full Version : Mounting a sight

I want to mount either a red dot, or Holosight on a SIG p220 pistol. I have not been able to locate a source for the mounts. I don't want to mount it on the slide, as I think this will affect the operation of the gun. Does anyone know of a source for a frame mount to fit the 220?
Thank you

If it has a tactical rail on it, Sig Sauer and Mako Group make "bridge" mounts. If not, I know of no one that makes a mount which doesn't require drilling and tapping your frame.
If that's not an issue, a good gunsmith should be able to fit an Allchin or Weigand/Caspian. I've seen P220 Sports fit with the Weigand/Caspian mounts in the past... they make a "universal" (http://www.caspianarms.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CAL&Product_Code=A02W00&Category_Code=A02) version that allows a bit more "fit-ability" than the pre-drilled version.
