Muzzle brake

So I am looking at possibly adding a muzzle break to my Saiga .223. My question is, will an an AR15 break work? Or is the outer diameter too different.

Oh I should add that currently it is not threaded. So if a AR15 break would work on my 223 Saiga then I could just thread it to accept AR breaks, right?

Yes technically regardless of the contour it could still be threaded for the brake you want. Though depending on whats currently on the muzzle other than a plane solid barrel it could possibly have to be cut.

Though there are brakes made specifically for AK type rifles.
