Hope this is in the correct area

I recently bought a 10/22 with a Revolution Tundra stock on it. I really want to get a new barrel for this since it has the original stock ruger barrel. Is there anyway I can find out if the tactical solutions x ring barrel will fit my stock? I contacted tactical solutions via email and they say the barrel will fit however I have heard that it will not fit.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Just for the record, what is so bad about the stock Ruger barrels?

I like my Ruger standard barrel. AFAIK, There are only two configuations for 10/22 barrels. The skinny stock barrel and the aftermarket Bull barrels which are .920.

I'm not sure if Rugers 10/22T rifles have .920 barrels are if they made a proprietary size for themselves.

Its your gun but if it was me I would keep it stock for a while and see how you like it before tricking it out. And if you do decide to trick it out there are literally hundreds of options for the 10/22.

Of all the guns I own from my Desert Eagle to my M1A EBR I still think that my little bare bones Ruger 10/22 carbine is arguably the funnest little gun I own.

I think the Revolution stock comes in standard and bull models. If you have a bull model it will fit the bull barrel.

Anyone bought a Houge Overmolded stock? I suspect they do not have a 2 piece yet for the Take Down model.

I think Eghad has it right. The stock appears to come in two varieties. One fits standard width barrels. the other fits bull (.920") barrels. You should be able to tell by looking at the stock whether it looks designed for standard or bull barrels.

I bought my 10/22 in 1977 and it has the stock barrel still. I can't tell you how many rounds it has had shot through it though.

As far as I know there is no Hogue stock for the take-down model. Here is a Hogue on a carbine model 10/22:

Don't forget the Clark mid weight barrel 0.720 OD

As far as I know there are no aftermarket barrels for the Ruger 10/22 take down rifle at this time.

To answer the question, it depends on which Revolution stock you have they make both a standard barrel version and a heavy (0.920) barrel version. Tactical solutions makes some great barrels. I have wanted a threaded barrel from them for some time. I agree there is nothing wrong with the standard Ruger barrel.

If your stock requires the more slender barrel and you must have an aftermarket barrel, take a look at Tactical Innovations.
