I ordered a new one of these, and the finish on the barrel and receiver was bead blasted. I sent it back. I've been trying to locate one that is like the ones pictured on savages website. The only things bead blasted on those are the bolt, trigger guard and other small casted trim pieces. The barrel and receiver are more of a typical stainless finish. I'm in California 100mi from SF. I'm open to any legal way of obtaining one. Its just a matter of finding one. I believe the factory started bead blasting the entire gun in beggining of 2012. If anyone sees a 18470 in some gun shop somewhere, I'd appreciate a private message.
