No. FAL mags, or mags made by RRA for the LAR8 only.

So which ar style .308s do accept pmags, can't find info on the magpul site and the manufacturers sites aren't real clear either.

Again thanks for the help

I went through this a while back, so, I'm glad to impart knowledge best I can:

DPMS: PMags
KAC SR25 Variants: Pmags
LMT LM8/MWS: Pmags
GAP10: Pmags
Larue OBR/PredatOBR: Pmags

I think Bushmaster .308 ARs also use Pmags.

Armalite: Uses proprietary Mags

RRA LAR 8: FAL Mags.

Hope this helps.

If you go to the magpul site and click on specifications, it's at the bottom.

Additional commercial rifle compatibility includes the KAC SR25, DPMS LR308, LWRCI REPR, LaRue OBR, Bushmaster .308 ORC, LMT .308 MWS*, Remington R-25, POF P-308, JP Enterprises LRP-07, Les Baer .308, the new Armalite AR-10A, and others
NOTE: NOT compatible with Armalite AR-10B, Noveske N6, Rock River Arms LAR8, FN SCAR 17S or any other rifles that utilize M14 type, FN FAL, or HK 91/G3 magazines.

*NOTICE: PMAG 20LR COMPATIBILITY WITH LMT MWS RIFLE
A potential compatibility issue has come to Magpul's attention regarding the PMAG 20LR magazine when used in a limited number of 7.62 NATO caliber LMT MWS weapon systems. When the PMAG 20LR is inserted into the magazine well, some MWS rifles exhibit interference between the bolt catch and the rear of the magazine. This can cause partial engagement of the bolt catch and result in unintentional contact between the bolt carrier group and the bolt catch during normal weapon operation. Although this issue has only been reported by a very limited number of end users, Magpul has introduced a slight modification to all new production PMAG 20LR magazines to eliminate any potential for bolt catch interference, effective 5/18/2011.

my lar-8 doesn't really even like FAL mags. i bought a couple of the DSA 20rnd mags which are supposed to be good. they feed fine until the last round. the bolt locks open with 1 left. that being said, it's a great gun. holds well within the guaranteed 1MOA at 100yds. shot this on sat. that's 2 separate groupings of 5 ea.

Allow me to update your list.

ArmaLite AR-10A (new for 2012)
CMMG MK3
DPMS LR-308
LMT MWS
KAC
Larue and a few others

All use the SR-25 Magazine. Pmags are SR-25 style.

RRA uses FAL mags.

The ArmaLite AR-10B still uses modified M14 mags.

The reason for all the different magazine types is when many of these 7.62 AR's came to market there was still a AWB. So, if the manufacturer wanted to be able to sell a 20 round mag it had to be made prior to 1996.

ArmaLite converted M14 mags
RRA used FAL mags

This was the legal work around until the AWB expired.

The SR-25 style magazine is the defacto standard now, almost all have gone to this style magazine.

If the AWB ever comes back well it include SR-25 mags??????????

I'll never give up my AWB legal M14 mags.
