I recently purchased a new in box sar-48 what are your comments on this rifle from owners who have one thanks Marc

The 48 is a pre-ban rifle, and the 4800 is not. A lot of knowledgeable people think that they are as good or better than the FN manufactured rifles. I have 2 and a friend of mine has one, saw him shoot a rapid shot group at 200 yards with FNM surplus that was truly outstanding. So good I actually kept it, and there are a couple of sighter/adjusting shots in there.

They sell for not much more than a kit built rifle, I have been buying every one I can find for a decent price.

A factory IMBEL FAL is a good thing. A very good thing.

As the old saying goes, the proof is in the pudding, as hagar's photo shows.

Feeding them can get expensive nowadays, I will say that, when compared to when I got mine back in late 80s. So buy a lot of ammunition when you can.
