Hi i bought a SKS D with a scope and its all tacticool looking all black with pistol grips and folding stock with a real nice scope that backlights.

I also bought a MAK90 all blacked out with tacticool front grip. I gave 400.00 for both and they both take AK mags. came with 6 mags. did i get a good deal? my buddy needed the money and they are in ment condition. I also got all the original stocks. And also he said there was two trigger groups with it. Need to have them installed for crisper action? Any help or advice would be great thanks

If you got both of them for $400 ($200 for each) ...... you are taking advantage of your buddy...... maybe he's not that good of a buddy?

If you paid 400 for an SKS, you ..... well, with all the extras ..... you did OK.

A functional $400 AK clone of any stripe would be a steal in my book.

I paid $199 for my Yugo 59/66 SKS at Cabela's last fall ..... but it took a bit of work and cash to make it functional..... and now I am on a quest to find dummy grenades (lawn darts for gun nuts!) and load data for G-L blanks......

I'm no AK/SKS expert (don't have either) but in my mind, you got them for about half or less than what you could have paid.

400 for both of those rifles is almost thievery. You didnt just get a good deal, you got a great one. The AK alone would sell for more than that. Your buddy must have been real hard up for the cash, unfortunate that he had to get rid of the rifles without getting near what they are worth.

600 for both would have been a deal. 700-800 are what they would be worth with the accessories you listed.

SKS nowadays go for about 250-350. An AK variant runs 450-550.

Either way just bring him to the gun range and let him shoot with you some time. Whoever wins buys some drinks!

you paid half as much for both of those as I did for a single, bottom barrel AK 3 years ago. you must be a master negotiator. I have never seen an SKS that takes AK mags so that's pretty neat. good job there, hopefully your friend doesn't resent you too much for the deal.

no he is cool with the deal. He never shot them anyways. I figure we will square it up in the future. But he knew what they was worth i think he just wanted them to goto me and no one else.

That SKS you got was a super deal. The ones that take the AK mags like that sell at quite a premium.

Its a good thing you got the original stock also. You will need it if you want to sell it later.

If he is a real buddy, everything will come out in the wash in the long run. If he wasn't a good friend, you stole 'em so start running! :D
