I have a 7mm br barrel for my Encore and the only
Brass available is remington, so Someone told me you
could take 6mmbr brass..Lapua is what I got and put about
10 gr. of bullseye or a shotgun powder in it and fill the
remainder up with cream of wheat and a peice of tissue.
has anybody else here ever heard of this?..is there any dangerin doing this?..will I damage the chamber or barrel?
thanks in advance

Boneyard,
I damaged the chamber on my .220Imp loading a fast pistol powder held in place with a scrap of tissue. I fireform using bullets now.
In your case, I'd get into Sinclair International and see what sort of form die would work. It could be that you can just neck it up with a sizing mandrel, then fireform.
I've also heard that the CoW method can abrade your throat, and start some premature wear there.
Good luck,

Why don't you just use 7BR brass? I have an Encore in 7BR and have been very pleased with Remington Brass. I'ts available from Midway.
