Can anyone please provide a sorce online for checking a manufacture date on a Browning Hi-power..........it is an older Hi-power with matching military style holster, but I believe the Hi-power to not be military issue.
Thanks in advance

rkb, you might try http://www.thefiringline.com . ;)
Seriously, if you will post the serial number here (using "X"'s for the last couple of digits) one of us will be able to date it for you. :)

That serial number would be a pre-WWII Browning. It should have the old type extractor, a one piece barrel, a tangent sight and a stock cut. It will also have the old type pin that holds the sear bar.
