I have a model 63 manufactured in 1955. Wood is 85%+/-, blueing is near perfect. There is one small scratch on the side of the reciever. It is mechanically sound. I'm wanted to get an idear about what she's worth. Thanks in advance....

Muleshoe, a Winchester Model 63 from 1955 in the condition you've described could be worth about $425-$550. Premiums would be added for factory grooved receivers or early versions with a 20" barrel. Hope this helps!

It does have the 20" barrel, but I thought these all had to be tapped for scope mounting. Didn't know some came from the factory with grooves cut. In otherwords, No it doesn't have the grooved receiver.

After fondling more today I'd have to say that I underestimated the condition of the wood and would rate it in the mid 90's. Do anything for the value?

Muleshoe, at 95% condition with a factory 20" barrel your Winchester Model 63 could be worth about $1,000-$1,200. Hope this helps!

Thanks Steve, I was wondering if the barrel length made that much difference in the value. In otherwords, oops, I've got the 23"er. You think a guy would know his own rifles a little better. Duh.

Muleshoe, the barrel length does make a difference. With a 23" barrel you model 63 is worth about $650-$700. The 20" barrel version is much more rare to find. Hope this helps!
