I am going to buy a stainless Ruger mini 14 ranch rifle. I need to know if the scope rings that come with the rifle are low, medium or high. I need to purchase a scope for it as well, therefor, I need to know if a 40,42,44, or 50 objective lens scope will fit. I want the largest that will fir with the rings the rifle comes with.( I know that I could always buy larger rings that what it comes with) Your input/knowledge is appreciated.

1st: Buy a NC Star Picatinny rail for your Ranch Rifle for $25 and junk those Ruger rings, they are a waste of time.
2nd: Buy a set of UTG Pro-Shot(?) rings for $10 from Cheaper Than Dirt in the Tall Size.
3rd: Fit your 50mm scope to the Mini and be aware you can now switch your optics to other Picatinny rails with only a small change in scope zero.

40mm barely fits to keep the rear sight you must slide the scope all the way to the rear, so check your eye relief. Mine worked out good though.
