How many people are using two sights on their AR-15's, and what configuration of scope/site combination and mount are you using?
Sorry about not being clear on my thread.
How about variable scope with red dots or reflective , and what type of secondary mount.

You mean two sights (Scope/red dot combo)?
Or are you referring to a scope with an attached NV device?

Or do you mean IRONS with a RED DOT SIGHT?

At the bottom is one of my 3 gun rifles that has a 1-4X on top and a Cmore @ 1:00.

I have TWO sights on all of my ARs.... The FRONT SIGHT, and the REAR SIGHT... and nothing else.

Scope on a carry handle see-through mount that allows the use of the iron sights as well.

LaRue OBR 5.56mm with Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 in a Burris PEPR mount with a Burris FastFire II on top. I am planning to move the FastFire to an offset mount at some point but it works as is, too. Troy BUIS are folded normally, I just had them up for the picture.

I actually have three sighting systems on the Robinson Armament XCR. Eotech 552, YHM BUIS, and a green laser. The laser is set for 50 yds. and makes it much easier to get on target with the stock folded.

I have flip-up front and rear sights, a Primary Arms MicroDot red dot sight, and (right now) a Mueller Eraticator, but I've ordered a Nikon M-223 3-12 SF.

Here's the MicroDot:

And here's the Mueller:

The rifle is scratch-built.

Could a good laser substitute for red dot in close quarters shooting?

Yeah, but red lasers are pretty much invisible in the outdoors, even under cloudy skies...

I wouldn't go with a laser as a primary point of aim in any way, shape or form.

For less than the price of a good green laser you can get a decent optic from Primary Arms....

Suggestions for best Red Dot scope for money and preferences for mounting off-set or above variable powered scope! Thanks.
