What caused this?

Shot my new 45/70 Sharps (Chappa?) and when I resized the shell, some, most, dimpled like this. :confused: Starline brass.

Too much case lube. It doesn't take much. They'll be ok to reload, the dents will come out when they're fired.

Definitely too much lube. It gets pushed down the casing until it's in a larger droplet and because a fluid doesn't compress it actually dents the case. Notice how the shape of the dents resembles an elongated bubble or droplet?

I did just lube up the pad. Thanks.
