Like these guys said, with very few exceptions, that is the case. The only one probably worth noting is the Colt lowers with the larger diameter front pin, but they can work with regular uppers with just an adapter.

Like said above the answer is pretty much yes. I have S&W and ArmaLite lowers and my ArmaLite upper fits and functions perfectly on both. My buddy has a Carbon-15 and that upper fits his lower and my two lowers. However my upper will not fit on his Carbon-15 lower (can't get both pins to go in). I'm sure with effort it would fit but neither of us wants to do that.

One thing that has been over looked (unless my info is old and outdated!): You can't put one of those AR-Pistol length uppers on a lower that has been recorded as a rifle. In fact, you can't put any upper on your rifle classed lower if it has an overall barrel length less than 16".

However, I suppose that if you took a 7" bbl and a 9" flash supressor and permantly attached it- I guess that MIGHT work.

Pretty sure the new HK version won't interchange lowers and uppers with non HK rifles.

YES! As long as you're mating a standard AR LR with a standard AR UR, they'll fit. Wiat a second, I may be wrong, let me get permission from .44 AMP, should I even open my mouth now or should I check my facts?

Just another dumb-ass jarhead.
