the fal ,m1,fal,ar10 and ak47 are all awsome rifles but which one is the best(reliabilityquality/performance,dont include price in decision) in terms of the versions available to the public? ex.arsenal sgl58-ak47,springfeild m1a-m1

I vote for the DSA's version of the FAL.

Very, Very, Very close for me to call. But just by a whisker I'd say Springfield M1A........err, DSA...no...... yeah, it's the Springfield........barely:confused:

I'd vote M1A, not just because of its out of the box excellence but because if for whatever reason nobody makes the exact M1A you want you can build it yourself through the extensive after market for them.

AR10 will be the most accurate by far. It is the easiest to mount optics on. It has the most support. It has the best ergonomics.

But for some reason I prefer the FAL and m14 over it. I'd like to own all 3, and have owned variations of the 3. I ended up picking up two AR10's because I liked the idea of them better for the above reasons.

I dislike the g3, though. Terrible charging handle location, dislike the sights (although still better than the FAL's).

Hard to beat Springfield Armory's lifetime warranty. And they will honor it. A shooting bud of mine went through six match barrels on his M1a when the receiver developed a crack above the bolt release.

Springfield Armory replaced the receiver for free. And here is the rifle. "Phoenix"

There should be an option for a SEI M14 or an LRB M14.

Which platform is "better" is personal preference and can be debated for hours. But which manufacturer builds the most consistently high quality, out-of-the-box good-to-go rifle? No question: DS Arms and their FAL SA-58.

My mid 90s Springfield m1a shoots < 1 moa with fed gold medal 168 gr ammo. And it has roughly 800 rds through it with no jams as best as I can remember. And it is so damned good looking too. What a great silhouette!!!! Has to be one of the top 10 best looking rifles of all time. At least in the military class.
