I just got a wood stock for my mini that came without the screws. I order the screws from midwayusa and they don't fit. The stock is ruger and the screws are ruger. Am I missing something?

Also, I have no idea what their function is, so if you could tell me that it would be great as well...

In the mean time I'll go look at one and see what I'm missing.

Only two screws I know of are the side screws that hold the stock reinforcement part. I wonder if you don't have that part.

Yes, have a look at the diagram in the owner's manual (or online). There are only a few screws associated with a factory stock, the two slotted screws that come in from the sides, attaching to the reinforcement, and the two screws that attach the butt plate. Give us more info & we'll figure this out...;)

Here are some parts you will need for that new stock:

Forearm Liner (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=155580)

Stock Reinforcement (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=547796)

Reinforcement Screws (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=526358)

Lock Washers (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=880168)

Recoil Pad or Butt Plate (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=425407)

Once you have these parts installed, you're ready for the action & trigger assembly.
