Hi I recently joined a shooting club in France and until my license comes through (about 7 month time) I can only own .22lr bolt rifles.
Somebody has given me an old rifle to use until I get the paperwork sorted out :)
I am trying to find out what it is. Its a .22lr single shot bolt action rifle.
The only markings that are on it are a serial number and "AR" with a crest above it. This is stamped twice on the barrel and once on the bolt.
I have searched the net but cant find anything does anybody have any idea what it is?

Crown over AR is the standard French proof for rifles not in military calibers.

Wonder why it doesn't have any manufacturers markings on it?
