I was looking on putting a scope mount on my m1a. dont want anything that is going to make the scope so high that i need a huge cheek pad. any ideas? pics would be awesome also if anyone has any. Thanks!

If you don't want to add a cheek piece, you have two options.

Get a stock with a higher comb.

Or get a scout scope mount.

By the time you get a mount and even a 1" scope on the receiver, you need to get your eye up high enough to need something other than a naked GI stock.

i dont mind a cheek rest, maybe just 1.5 inches max. i have a 1.5-6x swarovski scope that im going to put on it if that helps at all...

Do to the design limits you can only get the scope so low. You have to leave room for case ejection. That puts the scope up higher than a typical bolt gun. You can use a strap-on rest or the screw on. There are several good styles you can use. I prefer the strap on, it's easy on and off with you want to shoot irons.
