so i finally got my AR Lower on order and will soon be in the market to buy the upper and get to building my rifle. ive been looking around the interweb at different kits, and wondering whats the best in the 500-650 dollar range? im looking for a 16" mid-length setup. been looking mostly at Model 1 Sales, are they any good? and most importantly, how is their customer service? thanks in advance for the help.

If you have "500-650" to spend on a upper go with BCM, top notch and light years ahead of anything Model1 has to offer. Here is a link http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/

I've had good luck with BravoCompany, DelTon, and CMMG.

another vote for Bravo (BCM). There are many good upper manufacturers out there, but it is just easy going to Bravo. Good stuff.

Heard on another forum that Model 1 has had issues with customer's credit card numbers being used for unauthorized purchases. Beware.:(

First choice for AR uppers for me is BCM. Mine has been absolutely perfect in every way.

There's several other decent choices out there too- a quick peek at PKFirearms' website shows them as having Sabre Defence uppers in your price range as well, and they have a pretty good rep. Rock River's a good pick, Bushmaster isn't bad. CMMG is good kit, but harder to find lately.

I've not heard anything bad about CMMG, which explains what's on the AR I built.

Well that would be good news. I sure have no complaints with my ArmaLite U15A4CB midlength upper. You get everything you need except sights for $500.

I really hate speaking badly about a company but Model 1 just is not good from what I have seen personally...
