I just bought some Remington 357 round lead nose rounds. 200 for 75 bucks. 158 grain. I am just curious if they cause a build-up of crap in the barrel. If so will my Hoppes solvent get rid of it?

They will be run through a 19-5 Smith, nickel finish.

I believe they are a hardcast lead formula, similar to mastercraft reloads, I shot 50 in 9mm with no problems.

Depends on the lead's alloy and Hoppe's No 9 will not remove significant leading.

Wow that sounds like a lot of money for cast lead bullets,I buy Mt. Baldy .45's for $62.00 for 500, I would shop around a little more, are they special .357's?

Remington doesn't list a 158gr LRN load in .357, only in .38. They do list a LSWC in .357. Are you sure they are factory loads and not reloads?

Actually, they are 38 special rounds.I own a .357 Smith and Wesson. The rounds are made by Remington. I thought 75 bucks was a good deal considering how hard it is to find ammo locally in the Sarasota Fl. area.
