Has anyone fired Yankee Hill Machine AR-15? What do you think of their accuracy?

Silence! Nobody shoots YHM AR-15s...

You should buy one and let us know how they shoot. HEHEHE. My bet is that since they make good accessories, they should probably try to make good equipment. You might have better luck at ar15.com or maybe m4.net

I bought one and I was not impressed with my first 50 yards groups 3-4 inches. I fired 60 rounds. Now I am trying to understand - is it me not shooting AR-15 for 7 years or the rifle not broken in or YHM making not very accurate rifles?

What a timely thread! Recently built three ARs, using 16.5", diamond-fluted, chrome-lined, 1/7 YHM barrels. Was @ the range yesterday sighting in one of those ARs with the friend for whom I'd built one of the ARs. Great accuracy! As a matter of fact, he called me twice, after the session, to thank me for the excellent performance of the YHM barreled AR. Built on a RRA upper, with RRA lower with RRA National Match trigger. Easily shooting 1", five-shot groups, using a Leupold 4-12 scope. Also shot great @ 50 yds, using a PDP3 mounted on the Leupold, using the excellent Tactical Night Vision accessory rail.

Thanks for info. Then it must be my shooting - or rather not shooting for years. What normal accuracy should I expect at 100 yards with my YHM once I improve my skills (iron sights, no wind)?

All my parts are YHM except for the lower kit DPMS parts but even there I replaced pins with KNS Precision stainless pins - I don't trust DPMS very much. I bougt a complete YHM upper and stripped YHM lower plus YHM easy pull pins. I didn't bother to put a match trigger because that particular AR-15 in my arsenal is meant for tactical uses of up to 100 yards .

My eyes aren't good enough to shoot iron sights, and I haven't used iron sights on rifles for years, so I don't have an opinion about what accuracy to expect @ 100 yds. with iron sights. With my eyes, it'd probably be a 10" group. :)

I use match triggers in my ARs, regardless of configuration or purpose. I prefer the JP system over the RRA NM, but the RRA is a pretty nice setup.

I'm really happy with all the YHM parts that I've used.

What sights are you using and what accuracy you get with them @100 yards?
Thanks...

I'm using a 6-20 target scope or a Tasco PDP3 red dot. (Both mounted on same rifle simultaneously) I don't shoot the PDP3 @ 100 yds., but get 1" groups with the target scope, using Wal-Mart value-pack ammo. With good reloads, I'd probably get 1/2"-to-3/4" groups @ 100 yds.
