Year of manufacture search

I am trying to find the date of manufacture of a Smith & Wesson model 41 .22LR auto pistol serial number 750xxx.

Since they were introduced in 1957, I'm thinking "early -60's", off the top of my head.

It should have an A somewhere in front of the number and the year is 1982

Thanks for the quick replies. I made a mistake in posting the serial number. It is actually 75xxx. Added a non-existing 0 after the 75. Maybe this will narrow it down a little. Any help would again be greatly appreciated.

From the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson 3rd Edition " Serial number range begining 1954 starts at 1001 and continues to115000 tin 1970 ". 1960 is a good guess.

75xxx would make it approx late 1958 or early 59, IMHO.
