Last week the reports came out that a stray bullet killed this child. Today, after police did their investigations, it showed that the dad had a .38 revolver , cocked and locked...and aimed at the boy in the stroller. Dad got spooked and shot his boy in the head. The girlfriend tossed the gun in the woods. Come on now!!! How irresponsible is this?!

Bohannon had tucked away a .38 caliber revolver in the waist of his pants when he and his boys went for a walk Sunday - Travis in a stroller and his four-year-old son on a bike. The three had just left the house when Bohannon pulled the gun and was ready to shoot, thinking he had heard something moving in the woods. He told police he feared for his safety after an argument earlier in the day.

According to the affidavit, Bohannon realized there was nothing in the woods. With his hand still on the gun and his finger still on the trigger, he started pushing the stroller and the gun went off.

One bullet hit Travis Bohannon in the head. Bohannon picked up his son and ran back to the house, giving the gun to his girlfriend Tonya Salesman, who threw the gun into the woods before calling 911. Originally Bohannon told police the shot came from behind him and that it was a random bullet.


I have a 13-month old. This makes me :mad::mad::mad::barf:

This is a prime example of that "safety between your ears" not working.
